The Trish MS Research Foundation’s honorary Board has carefully considered how best to ensure the Foundation can continue its mission of raising funds for research into a cure or preventive strategy for multiple sclerosis.
At our recent Board meeting it was resolved that after this year’s Trish MS Fire and Ice Ball we will be retiring the Trish MS annual Gala Ball. For many years, this special event has been the cornerstone of our fundraising, made possible through the extraordinary commitment of our volunteers, the generosity of sponsors and donors, and the support of our broader community. As we look ahead, the Board believes it is both prudent and responsible to transition from reliance on a single, large event to a more sustainable approach that protects the Foundation and supports continuity of funding for MS research.
Accordingly, our future direction involves our volunteer team focusing our efforts on proactively seeking support from Foundations, Trusts and Corporations, alongside holding smaller fundraising activities. We are confident this change will strengthen the Foundation’s long-term sustainability and help grow the funds we can direct to high-quality, peer-reviewed Translational MS research projects.
We will of course continue to communicate with our big-hearted and very loyal donors and supporters, and we would be deeply grateful for your continuing generous support as we take this next step.
Our honorary Board and volunteers will continue to contribute significant time and effort to raising valuable funds for research. Looking ahead, we plan to run smaller fundraising activities and, in August/September 2027, an online Monster Raffle (drawn via Facebook), as we successfully did during COVID. Your support of these activities will continue to make a meaningful difference.

The Trish MS Research Foundation continues to be staffed entirely by a team of passionate volunteers, enabling every dollar raised to be directed to high-quality, peer-reviewed Translational MS research projects. As they have done since inception in 2000, the Directors will continue to cover all administrative expenses, making the Foundation quite unique.
Our heartfelt gratitude goes to every generous Sponsor, donor and supporter who continues to stand with us on this journey to solve multiple sclerosis, which affects so many special people and those who hold them dear.
