TRISH MS CANBERRA LUNCH

TRISH MS CANBERRA LUNCH

Saturday 4 November

Following the launch of the Foundation’s Canberra Chapter in November last year, a special initiative of Adrian Dolahenty, Kurrajong Strategic Counsel, East Hotel Canberra was the perfect host for the Trish MS Research Foundation’s inaugural fundraiser in the Capital, the Trish MS Canberra Lunch on 4th November 2023.

East Hotel General Manager Todd Handy and his amazing, hard-working staff really went ‘above and beyond’ to ensure the Trish MS Canberra Lunch was a roaring success, generously donating three fantastic Auction Items and ensuring every aspect was flawless.

Guests were welcomed by Master of Ceremonies, Board member Josh True, and enjoyed the fantastic, unique East Hotel venue, delicious authentic Italian food from Agostinis, long-term Sponsor Red Hill Estate’s wine and much more.

There was a genuine feeling of warmth in the room, with many attendees who were in some way linked to someone with MS, expressing their appreciation of what the Foundation is achieving.

We were honoured to welcome A/Prof Anne Bruestle and Professor Nicolas Cherbuin, Australian National University whose attendance was greatly appreciated.  A/Prof Bruestle agreed to an interview which was very informative and enlightening, highlighting the remarkable progress which is being achieved in MS research.

DMC Digital’s special Video Presentation which was produced pro bono was displayed, 7-year-old Teddy Colgan articulately sharing his thoughts about his Mum living with MS, and talented musicians Jess Green and Koebi Saumui entertained guests with a tremendous, uplifting performance.

The Foundation’s team of volunteers is extremely grateful to Todd Handy and the brilliant, friendly, expert East Hotel staff, to the very generous donors of the Auction and Raffle Prizes and to everyone who attended and contributed to the success of our special Canberra Lunch and to the tremendous funds raised for high-quality MS Research.
